This blob of water remained stuck to spider's threads after the rain had been and gone. It seemed to me to have caught a little world inside itself - sky and trees trapped, distorted. Why should a bright little bubble make me smile? Maybe I thought I'd found something that was mine alone.

The water drop had an eye-catching gleam to it. What interested me was the spider threads that held it. You could think of the scenario with the drop as a prisoner, or a trophy for the spider pleased with the treasure it had caught.Editing

It's just a question of keeping your eyes open, isn't it - becomes automatic for photographers. I remember seeing a silhouette on a tree, similar to the leaves. There was something about the outline of that 'leaf' that set it apart. I watched it. No movement. Was I kidding myself? Not till I zoomed in could I see the profile of a butterfly perfectly concealed.
