Location
Photo was taken at the Joplin Union Station - an old abandoned train station in Joplin MO, we had permission to shoot at this location.Time
We were shooting late afternoon into early evening, with shooting indoors with open windows, the sun was just in the right position to bring in the light needed for this image.Lighting
I loved how the light was filtering through the window and it grabbed my attentionEquipment
Canon EOS 5d with 70-200mm - handheldInspiration
The light and her tattoos are what inspired this photo. I love how she wrapped her arms around her. The theme was goth, but from this angle and pose and light, she appears to be a fallen angel or broken. This was my favorite photo from the shoot.Editing
I did some darkening of the edges and lightened up a couple of areas on the model. In my camera bag
Well when this was shot I carried my Canon 5d, 70-200mm lens, and a 24-105mm lens. Now a days I also carry a Sony 7aII. I have a tripod, monostick and reflectors in my car.Feedback
I always look for what inspires me in the moment, as here it was the light and her tattoos, so she had her back to me and the light coming through window was hitting her beautifully. Since there was several of us were shooting, I moved to where I liked the light best and had the least distractions.
