Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken from our backyard looking across the bay on Bass lake in Rhinelander, Wi.Time
Late afternoon around 5pm.Lighting
The sun was setting behind the trees casting nice reflections onto to the water. I waited for this moment to soften the light to get good saturation of colors.Equipment
Nikon 750, 50mm lens, remote shutter release in a Manfrotto 190XPro4 tripod.Inspiration
We were in the process of moving from the area so I wanted a shot of the northwoods to have for many future memories. It was at or just past peak fall colors when I shot this.Editing
I used a photo app that allowed me to insert pictures into different containers. Obviously using the glass jar to "take some northwoods with you" fit my moving from the area.In my camera bag
I use my Nikon 750 and D7200 camera bodies. I shoot full frame most of the time. My lens of choices are Nikon 80-400mm, 50mm, 60mm macro, 35mm, 1.5 extender. I don't use filters other than UV to protect my lenses. Manfrotto tripod has been my choice for years. Carbon fiber a must for weight reduction.Feedback
My only advice to to bracket your shots as this will improve your knowledge of what's in your camera.
