That is a great shot. But I'm not sure I can make out what is hanging off the bottom of the leaves - ice? fibers?

Thanks so much, Randal. Those fibers are actually from the Cottonwood trees themselves. These trees release their seeds in masses of what almost appears to be cotton fibers that cover everything around . . . hence, the name of the species. My apologies for taking so long to respond to you question.the
