Congratulations! You are the winner in my Rainbow Photo Challenge! I really like your shoot, it follows the rule of thirds and you used a perfect shutter speed to make the right image. See you soon!

Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken from Founders Square Park at DFW airport in DallasTime
This was taken mid-afternoonLighting
The sun was behind me, thus the rainbow. There were thunderstorms in the area, I had gone to the park on the off chance I'd be able to catch a lightning bolt or two - no lightning, but the rainbow made for some nice imagesEquipment
This was taken hand-held with a Canon 70D and Tamron 16-300mm lens (the 5D was set up on a tripod with a remote in case lightning started!)Inspiration
I had been wanting to shoot lightning; being in the city it's not always easy to find a good location to capture it with an interesting background - the storms were moving in from the right direction this day to use the airport as a backgroundEditing

I normally carry a Canon 80D (I finally wore out the shutter in my trusty 70D) with a Sigma 18/300mm mounted, and a 5D Mk III with any number of lenses, ranging from a 8mm diagonal fisheye to a Sigma 200-500mm telephoto depending on what I'll be shooting. I'm usually looking for cool things at random while traveling, so I often don't plan shots beforehand - I'm a pretty impromptu/opportunistic photographer. I've found I spend the most time with various prime lenses and the 18-300mm Sigma though, the Sigma's range lets you capture almost anything on the fly and reduces the need for lens changes out in the openFeedback
I always try and keep a second camera handy with a generic lens attached, just to capture something unique in a hurry if my primary camera is tied up with a different project...
