This image was taken back in November 2016 at Yosemite National Park.Time
This sone is one of my favorites photos I've ever taken at the park. it was before sunset a cold morning. I'm still smelling the fragrance of the pine trees the beautiful colors of the fall season.Lighting
I was able to catch the rich colors (orange, yellow, and red) of Autumn. The soft light hitting the peaks of the mountains and the steam coming out of them made a magical morning.Equipment
I used a Sony A68 crop sensor with a Tokina lens AT-X 116 AF PRO DX 11-16mm f/2.8 and CPL Hoya filter. The settings I used were: 11mm ƒ/19 1/4s ISO 100Inspiration
I consider Yosemite as my back yard I usually go three to four times a year. Every time I go there is always a new composition, a new place to photograph, a new inspiration or just a new excuse to go back. This particular place is my favorite, It never disappoints me. I was lucky enough to catch the last color of the season, Winter was around the corner.Editing
As a landscape photographer, I always shoot raw in order to keep all the information on the image (mainly the shadows and highlights). This a single shot in which I was able to get it in a single shot because of the soft light I was getting that morning. All my post-processing was done in Lightroom. My technique is very simple I always focus on dodge and burn to create tridimensional images. In my camera bag
I switched to Nikon a couple of years ago. I have in my bag a Nikon D750 great performance camera especially in low light situations, Sigma 24-105mm f/4 art lens, Sigma 100-400mm, Nikon 85mm f/1.8, and Samyang 14mm great for astrophotography. I use only three filter CPL, ND64, 6 stop neutral density filter, and the ND1000, 10 stop neutral density filter. Innorel Tripod and ball head.Feedback
I always recommend searching for the place you want to go, check for the weather, and good locations before your trip. Make sure you the necessary gear "don't overpack" because you don't want to carry extra weight. The most important to me is the light so Sunrise/Sunset is the most recommended time to shoot and have fun.
