Location
This photo was taken at Tallinn Hilton hotel president's suite.Time
In the middle of the day - as we had session indoors and I shoot only with natural light, it was a perfect time.Lighting
Natural light, a room with big windows. I love highlights around body or hair, so often I use light coming from back - in this case you cant forget that face also need to be lighted, so window in the side was a good source.Equipment
Nikon D600, 24-70mm f2.8 - no flash, no tripod. My settings were: 70mm, ISO 320, shutter 1/125, f 3.2Inspiration
Im a portrait photographer, mostly shoot beauty, maternity and children. This was one maternity client work, as we had an opportunity to have a session in such a special place, everything was an inspiration to me: beautiful model, location, light and feminine clothing.Editing
Yes, I love photoshop :) I consider myself as a fine art photographer, so I edit my work a lot. I love to create fairytale feeling to my photos. I start in lightroom where I adjust basic settings (white balance, lightness/darkness, shadows, highlights), then I will continue in photoshop for more creative editing (smoothing skin, separately editing model and background, colours etc), working with layers. I edit every single image separately. In my camera bag
I have Nikon D600 and D750 Lenses: Tamron 70-200 f2.8, Tamron 90mm f2.8, Nikon 50mm f1.4, Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 I mostly use 70-200 (outdoors) and 24-70 (indoors)Feedback
My advice for every photographer would be to find your style and niche and stick to it. Don't do different things, your clients and viewers don't understand who you are or what are you doing and their interest will fade. The more specific your photography is, the more you attract your ideal client who appreciates what you offer. In my work, I always use open aperture (for soft background), warm, deep colour tones in editing, specific style of clothes and posing - this will create my own style and my portfolio is whole. About this specific photo, when creating something similar, look for interesting backgrounds, be sure that the whole photo is tasteful - models clothes, furniture etc must match, in the same style. Don't be afraid being different from other photographers and using you vision in a creative way.
