There are moments when you hope for an image, willing the subject to stand a certain way, move into or out of the light, and to stand still long enough to capture the moment. When these moments happen, which sometimes can be few and far in between, it becomes pure magic. This sow had been fishing for salmon, moving along the water in the early morning and briefly paused for this shot giving me a beautiful profile and reflection. Little cub wasn't too far behind following in mom's footsteps. Never before have I been so captivated by wildlife seeing them be wild and free. Very thankful for this opportunity to witness this, extremely grateful for the company I was in, and as an added plus, my brother was in town and was able to witness this as well. Alaska is pure magic....
