Behind The Lens

Location

In my studio. Phuket, Thailand

Time

Probably in the afternoon

Lighting

only light available was from the digital projector I used to cast images on the model

Equipment

Canon 5DMk IV, 50mm 1.8, 1/80, ISO 16000

Inspiration

Nearly a year ago I have started my series "Projections on Skin" where I use an old digital projector hooked up to my laptop and I project images or patterns onto models in my studio. This image is one of the 9 selected for an ongoing exhibition at The Pavilions Phuket untill the end of November 2017

Editing

LR adjustment

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mk IV, 24-105mm, 50mm, 40mm, 100mm, 70-200mm, ND filters, tripod, lights, trigger and receivers, light stands, light modifiers (umbrella, octa, softbox)

Feedback

Very simple, get a projector, select some images and patterns to project onto your talent, find a model (or many) to experiment with and go for it! In my specific case I had to use a very wide aperture (1.8) as the projector was an old one and not very bright...
