Behind The Lens

Location

Took this on a trip to London in 2014. The Tower of London itself is a great day out.

Time

Early morning, before the crowds got too big.

Lighting

Natural lighting only.

Equipment

Used my Canon 5D Mk3 and the travelling 24-105mm f4.

Inspiration

For the centenary of the First World War, every poppy was hand placed by one of the Tower Guards. Each one represented a British soldier who died in the war and by the end of the year, the castle moat was filled.

Editing

No post-processing, all natural.

In my camera bag

Canon 5D Mk3, 50mm f1.4, travel 24.105mm f4. Changing what I take out around these lenses for different options.

Feedback

Keep travelling and going to the obvious places, as well as those off the beaten track.
