Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot at Kharmih variety spot, Cherrapunjee about 54km from Shillong(capital of Meghalaya), India

Time

This was taken on September 17, 2017 at 2.38pm.

Lighting

this spot is one the favorite and most common spot for landscapes photographers and i want to do something different. So while i am searching for a different perspective i found this rocks with cracks and used this crack as a lending line to the scene.

Equipment

This was taken with Nikon D750, AF-S 16-35mm f4 lens with Haida circular cpl and 10stop ND.

Inspiration

Cherrapunjee is one of the most rainiest place so its very difficult to get a good lighting conditions. On this particular day lighting was so good and we can see a little bit of blue sky.

Editing

In this picture i reduce hightlight and open the shadows part a little bit and remove the vignette cause by stacking of circular filters.

In my camera bag

I am using Nikon D750 and most of the time i carried my wide angle AF-S 16-35mm f4 and Kit lens AF-S 24-120mm f4 lens with Haida filter for landscapes and waterfalls.

Feedback

As a landscape photographer, Mother Nature can show something different at any time and anything can happen at any time, be prepare for that moment to capture.
