Rorren Rocky Redbird is my yellow nape amazon parrot. I bought him when he was 9 months old and still had solid black eyes. They don't get the orange ring around the pupil until they reach 3 years of age. I have had him for 36 years and he has always been willing to learn new tricks. For an amazon, he is very gentle. He loves people food so I thought If i taught him to use a spoon for yogurt and a fork for eating meats, he would get more in his stomach and less on the floor. He does quite well with a light weight eating utensil but alas when he is done eating, it goes to the floor as he doesn't want to mess up his humble abode.
