Miss Templeton had taken the advice to heart when her family doctor and friend told her to move to a sunnier place. “Your health will certainly benefit from some sunlight,” he had said. And it was true! Indeed, she felt happier now that she lived above the clouds. Of course, being of age, her best friends too were of age, and it was difficult, if not impossible, for them to visit her. You had to be of youthful vigor and strength to get up the sky-high ladder, that’s why she had the phone booth installed. Many insightful and heartwarming calls were made from there. She greatly valued having Cassidy and Finn, her horse and budgie, to keep her with company. A peculiar fear of heights had unfortunately crept into Miss Templeton’s life, so she was so eternally grateful for Cassidy’s warm and strong companionship across the bridge to the phone booth.
