Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken in my home studio in Christchurch, Dorset

Time

Mid afternoon but that doesn't matter as it was done using strobes in a controlled environment.

Lighting

I wanted to make the end result look like it was taken from outside with the child watching the water hit a window. The light used was a Pikapro AD200 (same as Godox) at about 45 degrees to the child.

Equipment

I used a Canon 5d mk3 with a Canon 24-105mm lens, Pikapro AD200 flash and a sheet of clear perspex.

Inspiration

I have seen a few shots like this and I wanted to try it for myself.

Editing

Post processing was done in Photoshop but only to increase the blacks and to change to black and white.

In my camera bag

Canon 5d mk3, Canon 24-105mm lens, 12-24mm Sigma lens, Sigma 105mm lens, some ND filters and a cable release.

Feedback

Just go out and try it, at the end of the day only you will see it unless you choose to share it.
