This shot is a combination of several exposures.
The Bardenas Reales is a semi-desert natural region, or badlands, of some 42,000 hectares (100,000 acres) in southeast Navarre (Spain). The soils are made up of clay, chalk and sandstone and have been eroded by water and wind creating surprising shapes, canyons, plateaus, tabular structures and isolated hills, called cabezos. Bardenas lacks urban areas, vegetation is scarce and the many streams that cross the territory have a markedly seasonal flow, staying dry most of the year.

I shot this during 2 hours on a tripod to get several exposures. Between 6 and 8 PMLighting
I used several exposure to get the maximum of lights, colors and tones. If i go to such locations I inform me on the internet with google maps to see where the light comes at wich daytime. For me it´s very important to know where the sun goes up and down, so I can prepare all thing better before. In Landscape photography special if you go to places away from your home, you need a little bit luck for the perfect lightening. Often we go to places without any great shot.... but that´s the photographers way. But I inform me always when is the best season to go to a special landscape. (October is my prefered month in Europe)Equipment
I shot this with my Canon EOS-1D X with my Tamron 24-70 LensInspiration
I see this formation on the Internet and thought by me: This is a MUST HAVE :-)Editing
This shot is a combination of several exposures.and blend them together. And i did some editing in raw editorIn my camera bag
For landscape normally I use my Canon 1-DX with a Tamron 24-70 and Kase FiltersFeedback
You have to inform you about the place you like to shoot before you go there
