Behind The Lens

Location
This was taken at a late summer car show held at a park near my house.
Time
This was taken near mid-day.
Lighting
The sun was almost directly overhead. Not the best lighting, but I did get a few nice flairs
Equipment
This was taken hand-held with a Canon 70D and Rokinon fisheye lens.
Inspiration
The park is within walking distance of my house, what better way to spend the day than walking around cool cars with a camera? :-)
Editing
this is an HDR combo of three separate shots taken with different exposures. I also played with lighting and color in Lightroom.
In my camera bag
I normally carry a Canon 70D with a Tamron 16/300mm mounted and a 5D Mk III with any number of lenses ranging from a 8mm diagonal fisheye to a Sigma 200-500mm telephoto, depending on what I'll be shooting. I'm usually looking for cool things at random while traveling, so I don't get to plan a lot of shots beforehand - I've found I spend the most time with various prime lenses and the 17-300mm Tamron though, the Tamron's range lets you capture almost anything on the fly and reduces the need for lens changes out in the open
Feedback
The manual fisheye lenses are a fun toy to have around at the price. They make for some interesting shots, just be sure to get right on top of you subject!
