The "Bat Barn" at Milo Mciver State Park houses one of Oregon's only nursery colonies of female Townsend’s bats. Townsend females only birth one "pup" and have a lifespan of up to 16 years and sport incredibly large ears. They typically love to find a large cavity to dwell in and standing in front of this large barn you can understand why they chose it. I had hoped light pollution wouldn't skunk out the Milky Way from view in the park and sure enough it didn't. Clouds were the problem instead ???? Luckily I caught a few breaks in the clouds and snapped this frame as a cars headlights drove by to illuminate the barn.
