Behind The Lens

Location
I shot this picture in a field close to my house, it's behind a hotel actually and there are no dogs allowed haha.
Time
I shot it during my favorite time of the day to shoot: just before sunset! In this case that was around 7:30 pm.
Lighting
I love using backlight and filling in the subject with a reflector to make the faces and expression visible as well. That's what I did here by using the profoto zebra reflector.
Equipment
Nikon D750 Sigma 70-200mm lens f 2,8 and Profoto Zebra Reflector
Inspiration
It was just what I saw: this little boy being best friends with the family's huge dog :).
Editing
I did make the shadows stronger and played with the white balance.
In my camera bag
I always use my Nikon D750 with a 70-200 sigma lens or a 24-70 nikkor lens. I also LOVE my Profoto gear. I use the B1 and B2 flashes a lot. But in this image I only used the Profoto reflector and no additional lighting-
Feedback
Shoot during sunrise or sunset, it's quite essential. Try to catch some subtle backlight and fill in the faces of your subject with a reflector. It will add great depth and athmosphere to your image.
