Need to know where the pyrotechnics will go off, typically parallel to the runway. Listen to the airshow announcer as to what to expect from the aircraft performing. In my case, I focused on the aircraft that was staging rather than the one performing primarily because the fire would totally dominate the background. Shoot on continuous to get several options. Remember to shoot wide and crop.
