Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a friends studio in Barberton Ohio during a group shoot.

Time

It was taken in the afternoon. This was my first group shoot and didn’t know what to expect. With the guidance of the individual leading the session the model and I became a team and created some great shots.

Lighting

I wanted a darker image to add a romantic flare to the shot.

Equipment

I used a Nikon d60 with an 18 - 55 mm kit lens

Inspiration

I signed up for this group shot to learn how to coach models into poses better.

Editing

The only post processing that was done was I dehazed the photo a bit

In my camera bag

In my bag now is a Nikon d7500 an 18-55 mm and a 75-300 lens and a tripod. Several different Nd filters and a circular polarizer filter

Feedback

Be patient with the model and talk them into the pose you want.
