The photo was taken in my backyard, were I usually photograph birds. This time I looked at the ground instead!Time
This was taken in the middle of a rainy day on Sep 2, 2017. I was kind of waiting for the rain to stop just to run outside and search for the snail among other things.Lighting
It was enough daylight despite the clouds and the rain, I was shooting at f10.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon EOS 5D Mark III with a Canon 100 mm macro lens. No tripod, I was just laying on the ground.Inspiration
I was trying to recreate an old shot that I took many years ago and lost the file. Well I failed! On the bright side, this is a new pose!Editing
Some white balancing was needed to bring up the right color tone.In my camera bag
First is my favourite Canon EOS 5D Mark III, second come normally Canon Zoom Lens EF 100-400mm the lens opened a new world of bird photography and macro like shot to me, I just love it! Third will on of my oldest lenses that I spend most of my time with the Canon Macro Lens EF 100mm and lastly Canon Standard Lens EF 24-105mm because sometimes you just need a standards lens.Feedback
Just don’t mind the mud or the weather, be patient and look everywhere. You might be surprised!
