Location
The photo was taken at inthaka Island (Bird Island) in cape town south Africa.Time
It was taken late morning on a sunny day.Lighting
The day of the shot. it was a clear sunny day so lighting was no issue. What is great about the spot is that the sun rises behind the bird hide so subjects is always well highlighted.Equipment
I am using a basic canon 1200D with a 75-300lensInspiration
I love nature and especially birds in their natural environmentEditing
Yes there was a little bit of post editing only sharpening and contrastsIn my camera bag
Canon 1200D camera.18-55 lens , 75-300 lens, Tri-pot, bean bag and my SASOL bird book. a bottled water( some times 6 beers)Feedback
In my opinion it is all about passion and patience. although technology and equipment makes a difference, it just shows that with perseverance you can get the shot you want with basic equipment. the best way is to spend as much time as possible in the hide and wait out the shot. what also helped me a lot is to chat to fallow photographers everybody has there way of doing things but you learn a lot from your peers
