This photo was taken when my wife and I went camping at Caribou Lake in Algoma.Time
This photo was taken in the very early morning . Everything was perfect . I was in the right place at the right time to get this shot .Lighting
Getting up before sunrise in the very early morning. I grabbed my camera and went out to the shore line at the lake where we were staying. The light was absolutely beautiful. The colors were phenomenal . Perfect lighting. Light clouds that the sunrise glaze against creating the redish orange glow not only the sky but a beautiful reflection of the water. The mist on the lake even adding to the beauty. I couldn't ask for a better opportunity to have for taking this photo!Equipment
Nikon camera and zoom lens .Inspiration
Being out in the country. The tranquility of the morning. The fresh and coolness of the early morning. Trying to capture the moment in time of the beauty of nature. The camera just added to keeping the remembrance of that scenic view.Editing
I always do post processing to my photo's in general. Two thirds of my photo's I use an old photoshop filter in photoshop 6 . I really try to express the photo's as not only the art of the photo, but the photo as being the art. Photoshop 6 has a filter called oil paint. A person has the ability to create the picture to look like a water color or an oil painting .In my camera bag
I usually carry two cameras. I have the older D700 and D7100 . For lenses I have a variety. But mostly zooms . Two flashes. A tripod and a monopod.Feedback
Having to capture this photo. If you want similar results . I would recommend to anyone , leave before dawn. Knowing where you are going . Pick a place. And have your camera ready. When the sun comes up. Take as many photo's as possible of the sunrise. To capture the perfect photo. You only get the one chance to do it.
