The photo was taken in an abandoned villa near Turin, Italy, during a workshop.Time
The picture was taken on July 3rd 2017, at 4:00 PM, people participating to the workshop were getting tired, but I was going on snapping.Lighting
The light was 100% natural, filtering through the broken windows and doors.Equipment
The camera was a Nikon D810, with the Nikon AF Nikkor 85mm f1.8 AF-D lens. Hand held, and with AF-single setting.Inspiration
This was the only model available for the model sharing, and it was all right for me, because I have always loved her. Later that year I managed to schedule a solo shooting with her to try and push the envelope of nudity as much as possible, but she looks good also dressed up.Editing
I always make also the BW version of my pictures on Lightroom, because of my origins as a film photographer and my extensive darkroom experience.In my camera bag
I changed my equipment and my technique a lot in the past 5 years, to allow me to manual focus the classic lenses I love so much. This DSLR represented the first stage of my experiments, but I was no satisfied about the AF accuracy of Nikon cameras and I couldn't focus manually anyway. Today I have found the ideal camera in the Panasonic Lumix S1, and various adapted lenses from Leica M, Nikon AI-s, Contax-Zeiss, Voigtlander... The only camera I'm still extensively using from that period for my nude photography is the Leica M240 with the 50mm Summicron.Feedback
You can take even better photos with a modern mirrorless full frame camera (possibly not the Sony), and some old manual focus classic lenses. You have to work harder, but the focusing aids are going to allow you to extract there full performances from these classic lenses like never before! Try, you will thank me later ;)
