The peak of the "Great American" solar eclipse as seen in Central Florida. The eclipse only reached 86% totality, but it was still a cool experience to actually capture such a rare phenonmenon.

This image was captured with a Canon EOS 5D III and a Sigma 100-400 zoom at 400mm. A solar filter was used. The image was cropped since the subject was still rather small even at 400mm. Further minor exposure and contrast adjustments were performed in Lightroom.
