Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at a studio in Dandenong, Melbourne Australia. The goal of the shoot was to experiment with different lighting and have some fun.
Time
The shot was near the end of a 4 hour shoot.
Lighting
The original intention of the shot was 2 colours, red from one side and blue from the other. But as the shoot had already been 3 or so hours the batteries in one speedlite were starting to slow down and the red did not fire. When I reviewed the shot and saw how the blue looked I turned off the red and ran with it.
Equipment
Canon 5D mkII 24-105 f4 and Metz 52 flash
Inspiration
I have seen the 2 light shoots before and wanted to play with the idea
Editing
Photo as shot
In my camera bag
Usually shoot with my 24-105 f4 for studio work but do love the 50mm f 1.4 get creative with
Feedback
My biggest learning from this shot is when something goes wrong it might be the start of something really great
