Thank you and also to the other comments that I can not respond to for some odd reason.

This photo was taken in Cody, Wyoming 2017 after a gunfight reenactment. For the past four years I have been enjoying the art of street photography/street portraits. This just happens to be one of many I have enjoyed to take and process for what I consider a character study.Time
While observing the reenactment I was also attempting to photograph the event. The time of day was early evening, my Exif file says it was 8:48 P.M. Although, my camera was set for eastern time zone, Cody's time zone is mountain daylight time, which is a two hour difference. That would explain why I still had good natural lighting still available. No tripod or flash were used. Natural light and hand held.Lighting
Since this was an early evening shot, my only concern was to make absolutely sure I was in focus. A nice soft and rather dark background of some sort was my goal.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D4 and a Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 My settings were: Focal length 100mm, Shutter speed 1/250 sec. @ f2.8, and the ISO was set to 400Inspiration
As a street photographer, most of my images are usually candid shots, but not this one. I'm always in search of interesting unique characters. After the gunfight reenactment, I approached him to ask for a photo along with a short interesting conversation. This image and another of him I was able to compose a rather successive composite. There are a couple of other characters from the same shoot that I consider quite interesting. I have title them 'Mr Earp' & 'Buffalo Bill'.Editing
Most of my post processing involves black and white conversions, using Nik Silver Efex and PhotoShop cc, but my post processing does not stop there. At most I will have layer after layer of dodging and burning, until I'm satisfied, without an overcook of course. In my camera bag
I will bounce back and forth between a Nikon D4 and a Nikon D810. I carry a Sigma 16-28mm f2.8 wide angle, a Nikon 80-200 f2.8 and lately I have been carrying a Nikon 16mm f2.8 fisheye. The fisheye I only used on rare occasions. Other equipment, but rare as well is a Nikon 28-300 f5.6, Nikon 85mm f1.8 and a Nikon SB-700 flash.Feedback
Patience and persistence is key when doing street photography. I have found, the more I do, the better it gets. Sometimes it's like hutting for a needle in a haystack, but once found, the enjoy of accomplishments is so rewarding.
