Shot on the edge of Badbury Clumps in Faringdon , UKTime
This was shot during sunset, I got to share this moment with a small deer, a female pheasant and about 1 million midges=)Lighting
The image is made up of 3 horisontal images, with two exposures each, one for the beautiful sky, and one with a faster shutter to keep the rapeseed sharpEquipment
Canon 6d with a Zeiss 21mm on a tripod, a small infrared remote to trigger the camera to reduce touching/disturbing the camera during the panorama shotsInspiration
I went to Badbury Clumps to shoot the sunset through the trees with the bluebells in the foreground (this image can be seen on my profile),after I had done that I heard about a big rapeseed field on the other side of the forest that I decided to go check out, since it was facing towards where the sun would set. I tried a few compositions trying to include a massive lone oak wich was on the side of the field at first, but then ended up using this little deer/animal track as a leading line into the field and the whole sceneEditing
As said before this is a 3 image stich panorama, also blended in bracketed exposures to get as much detail as possible in the final resultIn my camera bag
I always carry way more than I need! Camera, 2-4 lenses, tripod (on the outside of the bag), filters, extra batteries and SD cards, remote shutters, lens cloth, lens cleaning liquid, some form of protein bar/ meal bar, water, gloves, cd's to use under the tripod legs in case the ground is giving way (like wet sand, mud, in water, etc)Feedback
The best tip I could give to capture something similar would be to go out and explore, listen to others/locals, ask for advice, use google maps/earth to do a "pre reccie" on a site to look for fields facing in the direction of the sunset, sunrise, milkyway etc. If you end up coming back without a photo, just enjoy the fact of being out in a beautiful place at a beautiful time, if you go out in nature you're never wasting your time!=)
