Canadian Pacific F9A Diesel 1401 leads the Canada 150 Train at a stop in Winnipeg. Originally built for rival Canadian National, this locomotive was eventually used by VIA Rail well into the 1980s. These were among the most common locomotives to lead North American passenger trains mid-Century and were among the first generation of diesels as steam power faded.
