Location
This photo was taken during one of my Equine Photography Workshop held in Poland in 2015.Time
Due the weather conditions we had o change our plans and skip sunrise session planed for these two young stallions. Weather that day was cold and cloudy what brought us beautiful thick fog which stayed with us till midday.Lighting
Lack of strong light made an amazing atmosphere and helped to make photos of fighting horses in truly monumental look.Equipment
Canon EOS 5D Mark III together with lens Canon 70-200mm 2.8fInspiration
Horses are my passion since I remember. I always saw them as magical, mystery and very majestic animals, and this is the way how I love to show them!Editing
Photo came our so nicely and perfectly that all it needed was little bit of retouch based only on improving clarity and changing colors for back and white! In my camera bag
From 4 years I work on Canon ESO 5D Mark III. Also continually with the same lens from 9 years - Canon 70-200mm 2.8f without IS! This type of lens is the best one to photograph horses. Many of my fellow equine photographers work with this lens! In my bag you can also find Canon Eos 7D and Canon lens 40mm 2.8f.Feedback
With horses is never possible to predict what is going to happen. Of course as equine photographer you have to know how to make your subject run or pose in right direction, but for moments like this one above you just have to be patient, wait for right moment and react quickly. Of course when capturing animals social life you also have to be lucky!
