His white feathers made him beautifully stand out as he floated on the gentle currents of the Yellowstone River. He worked the shallows of the right river bank looking for food, but he was not entirely committed to it. Sometimes he would pause and with his head high, he seemed to scan the distance as if he was looking for someone. As on cue, he held his head high, vocalized his call and with the fast beat of wings and running of his feet he was airborne…he must have seen what he was looking for.
