An elk calf and what is probably its big brother. Captured on top of the White Mountains in Arizona, yes there is more to Arizona than just deserts. These two were part of a herd of twenty to thirty elk eating in a meadow. It is not usual that you see the little calves this close, mostly if you see them they are far back and guarded by a nanny elk.
