Location
FinlandTime
This was at the end of the day/evening. But because it is summer in Finland at that time, the sun does hardly go under.Lighting
This had been a Sunny day, so the light in the evening was still good enough to make this shot.Equipment
Nikon D7200 and 50-500 lens Sigma. in the hut there are devices to put your camera on it, so i did not use the tripod.Inspiration
The bears themselves inspire me. This was a nature-photo trip for spotting bears, wolves and wolverines. This bear's name was Panda. Does he look like a panda?! He was relatively close and looked straight in the camera. He was a happy bear with good food in a field full of flowers what made him smile.Editing
For this pic a hardly had to do any processing, maybe a little noice reduction but it was a Lucky shot just right. In my camera bag
I have my bag Always full with two nikon bodies and a lot of different lenses, nikkor and sigma, 50-500, 18-140, macrolens, wide-angle. besides that i use my samsung tablet and mobilephone to make pictures and little movies. My favorite equipment is my nikon7200 with the sigma 50-500 lens to capture the far-far away animals.Feedback
In finland the weather changes a lot, it can be Sunny at one moment and the other moment it is cloudy and raining. in this case we were sitting and waiting for the animals to pass by the woodencabins. so you are not very comfortable sitting, hanging, laying and trying to be patient for the right moment. The bears, wolves and wolverines can appear very suddenly and disappear as quickly as the came. So during the 12 hours from afternoon until morning 8 o'clock you have to be awake and alert. you need to constantly adjust your equipment because of the changes in the light, since it is midsummer night and the weather conditions.
