mmmm...if you mean to see the lions..so yes..but we had a guide to spot them, otherwise it would be too dangerous to get close..

Location
safari ride in Queen Elizabeth park, UgandaTime
it was the by the end of our ride..We were waiting almost the whole day to see some lions but they didn't show up and then by the end of the day and just as we were about to leave we finally met themLighting
nothing much. natural light and had to use a bit higher ISO to compensate for lower light by that time of the dayEquipment
this body was canon 7D and canon 100-400 lens. no flash just higher ISO. natural light and couldn't use the tripod as we were too close (around 5 meters) to the lions and the guide said it is too dangerous to step out of the car. so handheld shot.Inspiration
i can't exactly call an inspiration but at first i wanted to have a shot of a lion as it was my first time to see a lion (outside of the zoo). later the as excitement was over and the guide told us that we can not step out of the car as the lions will take this move as a threat because we are in their territory and they will kill us just to feel safe not to eat as they have already eaten by that time of the day. This made me want more a shot that shows the spirit of this creature. just an animal like all other animals. That would indeed hunt but only to eat. that would feel insecure and try to defend their own safety....so i started shooting again and it was when i had this photo...Editing
yes... some lightening correction and turned it into black and white coz i wanted the viewer to focus on the anticipating eyesIn my camera bag
eeeh..more or less...2 bodies..canon 7D and 5D...sigma 150-600, canon 24, 50 and 100 macro..set of filters and 2 tripods...sometimes i add other lenses...depending on the planning...Feedback
take your time...try to lead the viewer to see what you saw...and of course after all, enjoy it to the max...if you enjoy it, it means you did it well..
