Location
This was taken in Gruyeres, Switzerland. I was walking around Gruyeres and saw the cat on a window ledge. I loved the red flowers in the background and using my Nikon D850 I photographed the cat, hoping that my setting were OK. The cat stayed there so I had an opportunity to adjust settings and just took more images.Time
This was middle of the afternoon as it was one of the earliest images I took. We had planned to walk around Gruyeres and the castle and then have dinner.Lighting
The sun was a bit on the red flowers which gave a second focus in the image.Equipment

Post processing was the usual, crop, sharpen, etc. To focus on the cat I used a minimal darkened blur vignette to the background.In my camera bag
Usually shoot Nikon D850 or Nikon Z6 with a Nikkor 28-300 mm as my walking around lens. I have other lenses for portrait or my favorite Nikkor 500 mm PF for animals.Feedback
Just keep your eyes open to a potential shot and scan the area. My hubby and friends with me did not see this. BUT don't forget to enjoy the experience.
