The shot is taken in The Cascade, Yerevan, Armenia.Time
It was evening, but I cannot recall the exact time. What I can recall is that that day my cousin and I had a guest from another country and decided to both show her the city and take some photos. My cousin is an actress, and she loves posing and being photographed. Thus, I was taking photos of both of them. As it was a hot summer day, she brought with her the hand fan which you can see on the photo. Cascade, in general, is one of the most popular places in Yerevan, and mostly each person that lives or visits Yerevan has a photo there. That is why I did not expect to shoot any special photo that will differ from others done there. However, at some point, I realized that the hand fan and the architectural pattern are pretty close to each other. As I also figured out that the symmetry in the photo will look beautiful, I asked my cousin to pose there with that hand fan and got this shot!Lighting
Lightning is fully natural: no flash.Equipment
This was shot only on a Canon EOS 60D, with an 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.Inspiration
As I already mentioned, Cascade, in general, is one of the most popular places in Yerevan, and mostly each person that lives or visits Yerevan has a photo there. The realization of the fact that even in the most popular place, I can shoot an original photo and can see a new perspective made me feel inspired. After this photo, I got sure that there is always a way to look at something from a new perspective, and even with the most familiar location/item, it is possible to get an original and creative shot!Editing
As the lightning was natural and I did not want to have any special effect on the photo, it did not have post-processing.In my camera bag
A Canon EOS 60D, with an 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens as for now it is the only equipment I have.Feedback
Make sure that the image in your head and the one on the camera screen are as close to each other as possible! If not, then reshoot as many times as possible. Also, do not be afraid to experiment. Find symmetries, new angles, and perspectives. And most importantly, have fun while doing the shooting :)
