Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Edinburgh, Scotland at a cafe called The Milkman.

Time

I shot it sometime in the morning. It was a nice day, although a bit chilly, perfect for a hot coffee. And the barista's artistry and the setting caught my eye.

Lighting

No real notes. It was just perfect. I love love love the reflections that happened in the cup from the ambient lighting

Equipment

My trusty Panasonic GH3. I was shooting lots of things in Edinburgh and this just happened to be one of them!

Inspiration

I just saw a moment. My AirBnB host was a street photographer and coffee enthusiast that recommended The Milkman, so it was truly just inspirational kismet

Editing

Yes a bit. No real manipulation just RAW adjustments and color correction. Very simple compared to my normal process.

In my camera bag

In this iteration, a 50mm, 70-200mm, and a ton of local guides and maps to try and take me weird places to find weird people
