Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture in my basement since I already had a set up

Time

Since I used naturel light, best time was around 11 in the morning. The light comming from the window was perfect.

Lighting

As I said, the light was great but yet a little too harsh so I put a diffuser in front of the window. Soft light was the best one for my subject

Equipment

For this shot, I used a Fuji X-Pro 2 and a Fuji 35mm F1.4 mounted on a tripod. By the way, I use my tripod as often as possible. It slows me down and I can use natural light without having to crank up the ISO

Inspiration

Right from my childhood, time has always been on my mind as a fascinating and horrifying reality. Sometimes too short, sometimes too long, time passing and especially its mark on people and things, somehow both amazes and frightens me . That's why it often appears in my pictures and inspires my creations.

Editing

I use three softwares for my post processing : Capture One Pro, Lightroom and Photoshop. For this one, I started in Lightroom for contrast, white balance, and exposure and finished it up in Photoshop fot the black and white conversion.

In my camera bag

For now, I use Canon gear. The EOS R, 16-34mm F4, 24-70mm F2.8, 35mmF1.4, RF 50mm F1.2 and the 100mm F2.8 IS macro. Lately I bought a Fuji X100V and I'm love with it!!!

Feedback

All my conceptual pictures are telling who and what I am. What I've gone through and what meaning I gave to it. In every picture, you can see the story of my heart and my soul. I really don't care if it's trending or not. All I want is to tell a story, my story.
