Taken early morning at Makapu’u Beach Oahu Hawaii as a Tropical storm was approaching. I was taking photos with my tripod as close as I could leaving plenty of room for a big set when it came in. I noticed what seemed like a nice wave but not any bigger than previous sets and as it crashed in front of me I had about a second or two to grab my tripod and run back but by then it was already up to my ankles. Running with flip-flops in the water is not easy. ;)
