Last year, while on the road for work and stuck in a hotel for a month, I bought a bouquet of flowers to have a subject for my macro lens, if nothing else. After the first round of "nice" photos that turned out to be nothing particularly special, I drained the water from the vase and started to let them dry out naturally, and photographed some of them at varying intervals. This was one of my favorite shots from that series.
