Location
I went to Finland close to the Russian border in June last year. This evening two of us sat in hide close to a lake. Then the brown bear appeared- walking across to our hide- this was amazing and really exiting. This beautiful big brown bear. Suddenly he sat down close to a tree - relaxing for a while in the middle of the night 00:26. I think it looks beautiful with the white cotton wool (Eriophorum). This picture in black and white has got the prize PSA (Photographic society of America) gold in 4th Lofoten International Exhibition/Competition in Norway. I have to admit I like better this color version.Time

The light in middle of the Night as far north as Kaajani in Finland is not too dark. This makes it possible to photograph all night through.Equipment

Patient - you have to sit in hide all night. Correct settings. Practice settings with closed eyes. Know all buttons to your fingertip because it is dark in hide- you have to be quiet and calm.
