Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament, captured as early-morning light appeared on the horizon.
The vantage point changed significantly a few weeks ago after security barriers were put in place along Westminster Bridge, and after scaffolding was put in place at the bottom of Elizabeth Tower to support refurbishment work.
The tower last underwent extensive refurbishment more than 30 years ago, and work is expected to last three years while the clock hands, mechanism and pendulum are checked, and to repair cracks in the masonry and rust in the metalwork.
