The Info:
We are facing North. Most of the air traffic that you are seeing is heading to (possibly from?) New York's LaGuardia Airport. I can't seem to find my data on this photo. I think it was a over an hour's wort of time... maybe an hour and twenty minutes. This was shot on a Canon 1000d with a Rokinon 14mm-2.8 lens (acting like a 22.4mm lens on the cropped sensor).
The Story:
Back in 2014 I aimed to make a star trails image from my 28th-floor balcony in New York City. When I completed compiling the image, I was dismayed by the many streaks of airplanes that had "ruined" the image. I had a concept in my mind and... this was not it. But a number of friends thought it looked really cool, as they did not have the same conceit in their mind as I did. They saw it for what it *was* as opposed to me who saw it as I *wished it was.* Anyway, after some time, I was able to appreciate it.
