Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taking on the beach in Knokke, Belgium.

Time

This is one of my favourite photos I have taken of my sister so far. We took out our bikes and went to the beach for some sunset photos. We got treated to gorgeous golden light and a beautiful sunset. Can't get much better than that!

Lighting

Only natural light was used. It was almost golden hour at the time I took this photo, so I couldn't have asked for better light. It worked out perfectly to get the photo I wanted.

Equipment

This was taken with a Nikon D810.

Inspiration

I mainly just wanted to get some fun new portraits of my sister. She has played a big part in my photography career, since I've always been able to use her as my model.

Editing

Yes, just basic editing: adjusted the temperature a bit, brightened the photo, adjusted the contract, etc

In my camera bag

I usually always have my Nikon D810 and D850 with me, as well as my 85mm, 50mm and 35mm.

Feedback

I highly recommend going out during golden hour, in my opinion it's the best time of day to get gorgeous light for your photos.
