Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph whilst out walking in Cookham, England.

Time

I took this late afternoon, just before dusk.

Lighting

It was lucky there was enough natural light to capture this shot. I used the position of the low sun to my advantage.

Equipment

For this photography I used the Sony A58 body, Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3 lens and sigma 105mm UV Filter.

Inspiration

The moon has always amazed me, and as an aviation photographer took this unique opportunity to capture a shot that takes a long time to wait for.

Editing

No post editing took place on this photography.

In my camera bag

Sony A58 body. Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3 lens, Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens, Sony 35mm F/1.8 lens, Sony 18-55mm lens. sigma 105mm UV and Circular Polarizer. Sigma 77mm UV and Circular polarizer filters, Hoya 58mm nd4 filter. manfrotto Tripod. Sony FM20 Flashgun.

Feedback

My best advice for someone is to know your camera inside and out. You want to be able to trust your equipment and what it can do. Know where your settings are and what combination to use. As you may only have seconds to capture your shot!
