Location
In my home studio which happened to be a storage shed that I converted.Time
It was broad daylight and super hot out so the prop was both aesthetically pleasing and necessary cause it’s a fan!!Lighting
I wanted a dimmer light with just a radial light on my model... mysterious, alluring and dramaticEquipment
A fan, and my Nikon D7100Inspiration
I was taking other photos and the model and I were getting pretty hot so I put the fan in front of me to give her some air... I was looking through the back of the fan and immediately knew I wanted to shoot through it!Editing
Just Lightroom to touch up features and made it dramatic and monochromeIn my camera bag
I usually have a Lensball, a prism, my 50mm a 35mm and my D7100. Oh and a reflector! Those come in handy.Feedback
My advice is try something new! I never planned this shot until circumstances arose and I decided to look at photography a new way... so I’d challenge you to change your angle, don’t be afraid to try a new prop you never know what could happen!
