This is amazing. The winter theme and the black and white. That was where I was looking for in my challenge Frozen artwork in nature. Congratulations! You are my winner! My I ask where you took this photo? Greetz Angel Lappmark Sweden.

Location
This photo was taken just south of Fenton Mi.Time
It was Christmas eve late morning during the Ice storm of 2013.Lighting
Lighting was pretty good, i took a series of pictures at different settings and this is the one i liked the best.Equipment
Nikon d 80 with Nikon 18-135 lens. Settings were iso-100 f-7.1 at 1/50 shutter speedInspiration
Winter time is a great time to get unusual shots if you are always looking. We wound up being about an hour late to visit our family, but they are used to us getting side tracked for photo stops.Editing
A little sharpening and turned to B & W in editingIn my camera bag
At the time of this photo i had my husbands hand downs. In 2013 i had Nikon d80 with kit lens 18-135 3.5--5.6, the Nikon 70-300 4.5--5.6, Nikon sb 600 flash, extra sd cards and always have two or three batteries ready to go. In 2017 i have up graded to the Nikon d7200, with the d7000 as my back up. My lens that i rotate are the Tamron 150-600---Nikon 70-300 and the Nikon 16--80.Feedback
My husband and i are always looking for the next shot, whether we are on the way to visit family at Christmas, or making a trip to the grocery store. We have our cameras with us almost always. When you see what you think is a good shot and there is time, try taking the shot from more than one angle, and don't be afraid to try something different
