How did you do this? If I could get on the ground I could see how. Can you tell me,please?

It's very simple. First thing in the morning, the flying insects are still at rest until their hemolymph is warmed by the first rays of the sun. They usually look for low and protected places. This time i lay down at ground level, and i took advantage of the objects in the background to create that colourful blur.

Behind The Lens

Location

I usually go out through certain areas to search and identify dragonflies (Odonata). One of those days and in one of those areas, early in the morning I found this specimen already mature.

Time

As I said, the best times are early in the morning, when they are inactive.

Lighting

To soften the harsh sunlight, I used a diffuser umbrella and a silver cardboard reflector to compensate for the shadows.

Equipment

Sony A77 SLT Sigma f 2.8 180mm Macro Tripode Berlebach Ministatit L White diffuser umbrella Wireless trigger

Inspiration

The presence of dew on the grass behind, together with the group of flowers of different colors, made me try to find a more cheerful and fun background.

Editing

Not if you mean adding or modifying the elements and colors of the original scene. Just light touches when it comes to basic settings like contrast, saturation, etc.

In my camera bag

Well now it is much more complete than when I started a few years ago. I usually use two SONY brand bodies, a DSLR SLT A77 and a Sony A6500 EVIL. For macro photography I usually carry a Sigma f2.8 APO Macro 180 mm EX DG OS, Laowa 60 mm 2: 1 f2.8, Laowa 15 mm Widemacro f4, Trioplan 100 f2.8, Twinflash Kuang-Ren 800, Flash Sony HVL F43M, Yongnuo YN560 flash, various extension tubes, 2x and Sony 1.4X duplicator, wireless trigger. Berlebach and Manfrotto 055 X Pro tripod, various clamps and clamps, diffusers, reflectors, etc.

Feedback

Good that they try to be themselves and do not try to imitate others. Let them be carried away by their emotions when they look through the viewfinder of the camera. And of course try to be constant and persevering in your work.
