Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Brewery Products in York, PA. The Clydesdale horses were going to be around for a little bit.

Time

This was taken around late morning to early afternoon. It was a hot, sunny day.

Lighting

Just trying to use the natural light. It was so bright out and of course you have to worry about shadows. But between using different settings and the angles I took it at, you get this result.

Equipment

This shot was taken with a Canon Rebel T5 and an 18-55mm lease. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I wanted to get the image of the wagon and also have the new trailer as a backdrop for the wagon. I loved being able to see some of the details of the wagon, the boxes on the back and the lettering up front.

Editing

I don't usually do a lot to my photos. I will change some of the lighting/shadows, sharpen it a little bit, some saturation, and of course changed it from color to sepia to give it that old time look.

In my camera bag

I have my camera, two lenses (18-55 and 75-300), external flash, some cleaning supplies, chargers, my extra batteries, and my soft box for the flash. Clipped to the outside of my bag is a monopod and a gorilla pod. The gorilla pod comes in handy in a flash.

Feedback

Just take a look around. If you come across an item like that, take it from different angles. Then in editing try a bunch of different things, see which makes the image pop more or to whatever effect you want.
