Location
This photo was one of those lucky moments, we had been shooting in my home studio in Bexhill for the morning, the model had to wait for a bit for a lift home, so we took the opportunity to head to a location I know nearby, and this was shot on route there.Time
The shot was taken mid afternoon.Lighting
This was a natural light shot, so there was no additional lighting, the sunlight coming through the leaves of the tree canopy gave such a lovely diffuse light that none was needed to create the effect I wanted.Equipment
Shot with my Nikon D5200 and my Nikon 40mm lens, I used no other additional equipment.Inspiration
As we walked along the path I notice the diffused green light, as the sun shone through the canopy, and wanted to try to capture it, so we took several shots, getting her to look over her shoulder (which is one of my favourite poses anyway) worked really well.Editing
I don't do too much post-processing, and with this shot I reduced the contrast a little and upped the colour saturation about 2%, other than that this is pretty much how it came out of the camera. In my camera bag
My kit bag does vary depending on what I'm aiming for, for this sort of shoot I normally carry a 18" sliver/white reflector, 24mm f1.8 lens, 40mm f2.4 lens and my 55-200 zoom. Sometimes I'll carry a speedlight if I feel a fill in flash may be required. If I think that there's a chance of wildlife I'll slip my 55-300 macro zoom in just in case.Feedback
As we were walking towards the location I wanted to shoot at, this shot shows the advantages of always being aware of your surroundings and being flexible enough to take the opportunities when they present themselves, also having the trust of the model to allow you to work 'off the cuff' on a shot.
